Warranty & Guarantee

Mayfield Chocolates is dedicated to providing customers and gift recipients with a superior chocolate experience and guarantees to stand behind its claims as made on the site.

However, if there is any apparent defect in any product as supplied, please notify us within 7 days of receipt of the product in writing or by attending in store. We reserve the right to request, where we deem it appropriate, that the product be returned to us in its original packaging by insured post to help us evaluate the defect. At our discretion, Mayfield Chocolates may replace items or refund the purchase price, or part thereof. Any such action is to be taken as being directed to maintaining good customer relations and not as an admission of liability of any kind.

Except as indicated otherwise, all of the material on the website is made available in order to provide you with information about our products. We make no representations that the materials contained on this site are intended to provide comprehensive advice with respect to individual dietary, religious or cultural requirements.

Idea Submissions

We do appreciate comments and suggestions from our customers and site users, to help us improve our products and services. However, if you do send us a message about a proposed new idea about new marketing, advertising, product, and/or packaging concepts and/or improvements, your message will be treated as non-proprietary and non-confidential and becomes our property and may or may not be used by us for any purpose.

This policy is to avoid confusion about our ownership of new concepts. For example, we may be working on the same or similar ideas you have thought of. If you feel that your idea has value and you want to make money out of it, do not send it to us - just re-read the preceding paragraph and think again.

Prices

All prices are in Australian dollars. Retail prices include the Goods and Services Tax (GST), which is a VAT (value-added tax). Orders for delivery by us directly outside Australia and its external territories are not subject to GST, so the customer in that case may deduct 1/11th of the retail value (including freight) to achieve the final purchase price.

Payment

In-store payments may of course be made in cash, as well as the options below which are available for website orders not being collected in-store.

Debit & Credit Cards
Mayfield Chocolates accepts Mastercard and Visa debit and credit cards: receipts shall bear the company (Pty Ltd) name given below. For webstore orders, card details may be submitted at the checkout using the "card via PayPal" option, or by PayPal payment (no card required). Your order is then processed and the transaction completed and submitted.

If you would like to pay by debit or credit card over the phone you can call us on: (07) 3832 1832 (or from overseas on +61 7 3832 1832) during office hours (9.00am to 5.00pm AEST Monday to Friday).

Cheques & Money Orders
Personal cheques, bank cheques and money orders are accepted. In the case of personal cheques, please allow five working days from our receipt of a cheque for effects to clear, before shipment takes place.

Stock Availability

To maximise freshness, Mayfield Chocolates has a policy of keeping stocks low, so we cannot guarantee 100% stock availability all the time. In the event that an ordered item is temporarily unavailable, we shall contact you for your preferred option (i.e., wait for stock, substitute something similar, or cancel order). Please note that during seasonal periods such as Easter and Christmas, particular products, once sold out, might stay sold out for the season.

Mayfield Chocolates will accept advance orders - there’s no need for you to wait until the last minute!

Freight

Jurisdiction and Severance

These Terms and Conditions, and any legal relations whatsoever arising from the use of this website shall be governed by the State and Federal laws as extant at the material time in the State of Queensland.

If any provision herein is unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable, and severable only to the extent made necessary by the said unenforceability.

This is the entire agreement between the parties relating to the subject matter. Mayfield Chocolates may modify these Terms and Conditions at any time and without notice.
